Meet the team

Richard Newey – Director

Richard, co-founder of Thirdperson and has many years experience of creative communications for the public and private sector. He is responsible for project management and creative direction of projects. Richard has worked on a variety projects, including engagement programmes, stakeholder communications and a wide range of publications, reports and event literature. Other clients include Shipleys LLP, The Marketing Society, The College of Estate Management, BP and Jersey Telecom.

Tim Reed – Director

Thirdperson’s co-founder specialises in working with clients to understand audience motivations and using these insights to deliver memorable communications with measurable impact, regardless of the media used. He recently led brand repositioning projects for the College of Law and the Arts Council’s pan-London Creative Partnerships programme. He has worked with BP, KPMG, BAA, and advises Jersey Telecom on brand positioning.

David Clayton – Production Manager

The powerhouse of all Thirdperson production related issues. Dave schedules time, manages the weekly status report, books jobs in, and overseas all aspects of a job before it leaves us for print or publication. Dave managed all production aspects of the BP driving safety standards project in all its multi-language global complexity.

Steve Smith – Content Director

Steve has nearly 20 years experience as a professional writer, editor and communications specialist. He was formerly head of marketing communications at professional services firm Smith & Williamson, having also worked at PwC and as an independent marketing consultant and copywriter. Steve has led or been involved in projects for the London Development Agency, College of Estate Management, Shipleys LLP and Smith & Williamson.

Philippa Morrice – Designer

Philippa has been the principal designer on many of Thirdperson’s projects. She has eight years experience in almost every conceivable aspect of communications design. Philippa understands and has experience in various industry sectors. While always keen to challenge and question, Philippa has her feet firmly on the ground and her executions are always practical and functional as well as creative.

Rob McCarthy – Designer

Rob has been a practicing graphic designer for the past year after graduating from Lincoln University with a BA (hons) in Interactive Design. His commercial experience ranges from branding development for small start-up businesses to online marketing material for large corporations. Rob produces work that is both conceptually concrete and effectively executed.

Natasha Ellard – Marketing manager

Natasha and has worked in senior business development and marketing roles across a range of industries. Previously to joining Thirdperson, she has worked at Euro RSCG Conran Design Group and for Quantum Business Media. Her approach is holistic, bringing marketing and new business activity together in order to further evolve the range of brands and companies that we work with.

Sarah Miller – Copywriter

Sarah has more than seven years’ experience as a journalist, copywriter and editor. She has worked with a wide range of organisations, both in-house and as an external resource helping them communicate effectively through newsletters, websites, e-shot marketing campaigns and press releases. Past and present clients include Smith & Williamson, Shipleys LLP, Nexia International,
Cushman & Wakefield, BNP Paribas.
